"Pathos"
Titled "Pathos" after the words which may be seen in the sentence that appears in the lower right hand corner of the work (taken from a circa 1910 novel). This work features the face of a wistful woman reflectively gazing into the distance. Half of her face is rendered in pen & ink with pencil, and the other half is created with acrylic paint. This painting incorporates acrylic paint, faux-finished color fields as well as ephemeral and vintage photographic mixed-media collage.
